Please?

Open page in FireFox, need additional plugins. Install plugins, plugin not available - install manually?
Sure, install manually.
Quicktime site says QT comes with ITunes. Don't want iTunes on the work PC.

Look on our server, we have the latest version already - version 7.

Run v7 installer. Prompt: Do you want to uninstall QT?

I guess it needs to uninstal the old version -- sure.

Files in use, please close browser. Okay, no biggie.

Finishes uninstalling old version, then says QT setup is complete. It has removed QT but did not install v7.

Okay, run v7 setup again. Installs successfully, hooray.

Player automatically opens, displays message: The version of QT you have has expired. Please download the latest version. Download Now?

Goddamnit, yes.

Takes me to the page I was on to begin with, to install iTunes.

I know there's a fucking QT-player only install somewhere on Apple's website, but I can only take so much before I feel like a dog chasing his own tail.

Could somebody please tell me exactly where to download the QT player only, or an alternative?

Thank you very very much.

Thanks guys.

I think I'm going to try the alternative first.

Normally I'd search out what I'm looking for myself for this kind of thing, but it's been a hell of a day - and week - at work, and I'm just tired and ready to go home.

Too bad it's only 2:45. :(

I've never seen QT expire unless it was a beta version. Download the one from http://www.apple.com/quicktime

Oh, and it probably was the 7 beta because that was all you could get for Windows for about a month back when they released it
