A damn weird bug in battlefield 2..

I've encountered a quite weird and random problem in the game. I'll explain how I got there.

Place DVD in drive, select "Play online now"
Click "Multiplayer"
Filter by servers with the name "Multiplay" (multiplay uk sevres)
Select server
Join
Load

Now, thats all fine, ive used both the keyboard to get this far.

As soon as im in the server and the infantry team/type bar and map comes up, i cant move the mouse and no keyboard commands work. I cant even press "esc" to go to the main menu.

I've tried alt-tabbing, pressing various keys etc and nothings worked.

At first i found it remotly funny, but now its just annoying the tits off me. I know a few of you play the game, have you heard of this problem? I've already posted in a BF2 forum but they take a while to reply.

Also, is anyone up for a game later? (providing i fix this problem)

i remember my brother telling me he encountered similar problems with just the demo but a restart usually fixed it so i dont know what to tell you man. I know you have thought of this but did you try a fresh install? I remember when i first installed WOW i had the same kind of problems but when i re-installed things got better. Sorry i couldnt help you more dude.

If you do get it working though i am down for a game.

When typing a message in this forum.
And then you need to edit something in your message.
Press "Insert" key before editing. ;)

Now I see that my original intended miss-spelling does not make sense.

I'm mostly wondering who you were talking to and what it had to do with anything.
