Yes, it appears on 'monitor' to be camoflauged, but to the naked eye the dude is just standing there with a jacket.

brian - we went to lounge 88 that night, but you had already left and the place was closing down - we didn't get there until 2:30am though
looked really nice - the beaded curtains and the incense was pretty good shit.

More on how you have to 'look through a peephole' and the projector only projects onto the cloak'
Everyone else viewing normally sees a dude in a silver cloak.

i guess I didn't catch the sarcasm in dekard's earlier post.

It's not fake, but not as revolutionary as it looks, you have to have a peephole and setup to view the technology, not very useful for everyday applications. People wouldn't see the technology unless you forced them to look through said peephole.

ok wtf there seem to be two technologies displayed on that page -
rendering an object transparent, and being able to see INTO solid objects.

The solid objects are the same technology, like the guy with the bones, thats just a computer image projected onto the paper he is using, not actually looking into his bones.

See the thing with this technology is that although it's been announced several times it's also been discounted just as many. People don't know if it's real or if it's fake.

Also, people look at the pictures and say OMGWTFROLFBBQ, and it's an image from the videographers point of view that will always see the camoflauge point of view, it's neat but not like this guy can sit in a field and not be seen. It's a projected camoflauge and you have to be looking through a viewer to see it. Other then that it's not a big deal, now if they could create the projector, and film, and project via the jacket all encompassed into the jacket that would be something but as it stands it's a third person technology.

i'm confused as hell - so that wasn't a real demonstration of any new technology - it was more of a demonstration of what the technology COULD be like, using cheap methods
right?
and what's this projector stuff you're on about? (edit: nm reading that link in your earlier post)
btw you guys ever hear of angel light and troy hubertise?

ah ok i understand the way it works now - that's pretty lame - i thought the cloak actually had mini cameras and mini "tv screens" actually embedded into it.
btw cuttle fish and octopi are incredible at cloaking
