I'd rather concentrate on the scenes than being distracted to having to read some poorly translated subtitles, and I want quality voice-over with a good script and good voice acting (similar to what they did with the MGS series) :p

Well, they just added this little snippet:
Editor's Note: This information pertains specifically to the English dub, and does not indicate whether or not the original Japanese language track will be included -- featuring English subtitles -- which it will, because Square Enix is very aware that that's how their fans like it.

reading subs is an art :P
and the voice-over is the whole problem, theyre usually very poor. quality voice over? please. random yank talking like the yank Goku does not equal good voice acting :p

Yes, I realize MGS is an exception rather than the norm, so that's why I'm not getting my hopes up high of AC having a good English voice-over, which would really be a shame :tear: But then again, the voice acting in FF:TSW was OK (even though the movie sucked), so all may not be lost :p

Europe

It's region 2, europe and japan. So it will feature the original voices I think.

i dont think its a big deal if you prefer dubs over subs. some people just really like dubs for some reason. so thats cool if thats what youre waiting for.

that being said, i hate dubs.

don't know which version i saw, but the english subtitles were terrible. it was as if kracus and plained had gotten together to write them.

Those were probably fansubs to the jap version since the official international one hasn't been released yet.

that was probably the raw translated subtitles... i found one for my bootleg that had all the grammar and phrasing cleaned up. Its actually quite good.

Rachael Leigh Cook and Mena Suvari are decent enough actresses, but I don't recognize the rest. I just hope it's at least on par with MGS dubs.

You know, it was a pretty crappy movie so who cares what language it comes in?

I see no Steve Buscemi, what a shame.

The subtitles I have are total crap. They've subbed like 1 word every 5 min.
