Just came across this, very impressive desktop environment. Anyone else know of any similar videos or similar environments?

Looks nice, but too bouncy.

The functional stuff is already in OSX. Task switching, live window previews, translucent/3d window effects, fade in/fade out, animated backgrounds, etc. Virtual desktops are also available but require an add on utility.

The only thing OSX doesn't have (which would really be nice) is the global click and drag. Don't have to click on the menu bar to move a window to move it. Also, the ability to have multiple sizes of icons on the desktop would be nice (but I can already imagine the problems of trying to keep them organized).

OSX doesn't come close to the 3d virtual desktops featured in this demo, plus all the video effects. Other then that it has most of the effects, the bouncy windows is kind of cool. Most people would disable all the effects and just use a pure vanilla setup.

Interesting choice to build this for Linux, considering most *nix users stick to punching commands in cmd prompts anyway.

maybe they're trying to develop an environment that will get joe-dirt interested in linux as a win-alternative?
