anyone heard any rumors along the same lines? its a stupidly long read, but its talking about reordering Lateralis's tracks to match the fibonacci sequence which the drummer follows throughout the title song. its interesting to think about, if its not true. if it is, its genius

Yeah, I've heard of that. I think I remember reading something from the band where they deny it. I don't remember exactly, though.

I've heard a bit about that already. I read an interview a while back with Maynard in which he talked about his drummer drumming to the Fibonacci series. Had no idea it was this complex though. I'm intrigued.. I may actually try glueing the songs together like he suggests myself to see if it really is like he said. Tool always was kind of a mystic band

I really like the creativity and inginuity in Tool's songs. The first time I heard of this was in the interpretation of "46 and 2" which revolves around the human genome and evolution. Good shit!
