I've just found this again..

Just found it whilst cleaning up my room.
If you haven't watched it, go out and get it. I think its only about £20 now. I got it when it was about £40.
The episodes are about an hour long and the annoying thing is, once you've watched a single episode, you want to watch the next and it just turns out to be a big movie.

There were many things in the book they couldn't include in the series due to budgetary constraints (e.g. certain large scale battles), but it's still great to see how much they've accomplished. Great show. :icon14:

lol, mates come over and theyre like "lemme lend this" an i go "yea, whatever"
or if i take a few into the other living room or into the bedroom or whatever, only to leave them there where i would have to spend a few hrs wondering wtf i done with them
if i give it its very own home i know it aint going anywhere

It is rumored that the series will follow a USO troupe who travel the Pacific trying to keep Allied soldiers entertained and morally up beat about the war

Wrong.
The actual series will
mostly follow the Marines of the 1st Marine Division through Guadalcanal, Cape Gloucester, Peleliu, Okinawa and some flyboys through Midway, Iwo Jima and other battles. This is straight from one of the head writers.
