I'm in the middle of re-making the misses site, where she sells lampwork beads and stuff like that. Anways, something came up...
The site is very slow to load, because of the pics. Doesn't make any difference either if the pics are saved in 50% compressed jpeg, it looks ugly as sin but still, wont load fast at all.
I guess what i want to know is how do i force certain pictures to load, and be saved onto the computers tempory files? I've done this in the past but it excapes me now lol.

What do you mean by preloading? The only kind of preloading that's useful is rollover preloading where you call the images in javascript but don't immediately implement them.

aye, it could be damn near impossible for some people to read. loads quickly enough though.
some pre-loading stuff:

edit: if you're using dw, you might as well use it's own preloader script.

It needs a site redesign, use less images and make it more readable. Also work on the color theme.

Don't pre-load. If someone visits the site and the images take a while to load it means they look at a blank page for a while and think there's something wrong. They bugger off when that happens

It's plenty fast but what's wth the redirect? People with javascript disabled get a blank page.
