Picked up
Cannon Digital Rebel EOS Rebel XT 350D
1 GB Flash Card
.5 wide angle lens
18-55mm Lens /f3.5-5.6
Weatherproof case
Flash Reader... ? heh..
53" Tripod
Cleaning Kit
and a Training DVD
extra Battery...
for $1027.00
Not too bad.... pretty decent price. I've been wanting a digital rebel for a while.. so I bought a package deal with the a lens or two, those are the basic lenses but they'll get me started.
Decent deal?

Much like you.. I don't have one. Was just wondering if it a halfway decent deal, with all the camera dudes here.

Most of the rebels are going for 900+...
The missus is my sugar momma.... and I got some cash to spend, and I need a decent camera...

Dave, stop making me want a canon. I don't want to spend money on extra lenses and I'd like to be able to record movies, yet most digi-cams aren't great for photos

You can get a canon without having to buy extra lenses
I guess it just depends on what you want to do with the thing once you get it.

Well idealy I'd like a lens which offers plenty of zoom (digi cams go to around 10x with 8mp) and also is good for macro mode. Which I doubt I'll find

true, but without one at all, you can't do much of anything
