Hi guys.
I have purchased a nvidia 5500fx (agp 8x). It doesnt fit. Is there a way to tell exactly what slot it is. It is black and it is further back than the pci slots but the card didnt fit. Any help is appreciated

um, you sure you have a AGP motherboard?
remember to release that little white lever at the AGP port before trying to fit the graphics card

It's supposed to snap shut and lock the card in place.

Foo gave PCI-X, or PCI-E the terms are intercahngable, and AGP, but I think he gave AGP 1Xor 2X. Here is a photo of what an AGP 8X slot should look like:
If you could tell us what mobo you had, that would help.

Sisoft Sandra is a good diagnostic app to give you info on your system.

Cpu-z is also something,
free, small, no install needed.
