crouch sliding tehnique
What is the best tehnique for crouch sliding to turn around the corners?

previous discussions seem to have nailed it, although the answer over on ESR seems to be pretty spot on too (if not a little simplified)
practice is what you'll need

releasing forward as you slide gives sharper turns than keeping it depressed, but perhaps at a little cost to speed (unless your timing is immaculate). I seem to get a good boost of speed when strafing out of a slide (again provided i get the timing right)ex wrote:Jump, crouch, release forward and strafe+turn your mouse to the direction you want to go.

Perhaps a bit more accurate/useful:
1. build up speed with a couple of strafejumps or a circle jump;
2. hit crouch _just_ before you touch the ground, and keep holding crouch until you've made the turn you wanted to make;
3. release forward key before you start making the turn with strafe and mouse;
4. after the turn, press forward again and jump (when you slid on the ground) and release crouch.
I don't think you should release crouch before pressing forward again because you'll be walking (which reduces your speed to 320 ups) instead of sliding before you continue strafejumping again.
