Damn...updated ATi Catalyst drivers

Was playing Battlefront II and Most Wanted and noticed a few graphical anomalies such as textures stretching. I went to the ATi website and sure enough, there was an update available, so I went from Catalyst 5.13 to 6.1

Things worked fine, except now NHL 06 refuses to work. The main menu loads but none of the graphics or background movies show up. The only thing you can do is press escape to quit the game. I reinstalled the game and even removed my custom audio files but to no avail.

I'd like to downgrade back to the 5.13 but that could cause loss of performance and bad quality once more. Any help?

PS. There are no new patches out for NHL 06.

Yips! Fixed the damn problem. Reinstalled the 6.1 drivers but with Catalyst Control Center and it reset my settings to the optimal performance level so things are goodi-o now. Thanks for all the help :icon32:

I cant stand ATI drivers they just dont seem right...

Bug fixes are odd, and include weird shit like:

"Fixed bug in FarCry when you shot a weapon at a leaf 97feet away while a hog was on your left and water was on your right"

They are all just so... random...

You can just skip the 5.13 since it had no changes at all. Might as well upgrade to 6.1, it seems to work well. My problem was that CCC had changed some options on anisotropic filtering and that pissed NHL 06 off. The reinstall of the program itself reset the settings to make this work again :icon14:
