Smaller character stuff like their mannerisms and fondness of hawaiian shirts.

andromeda and firefly have so many similarities that it would be delusional to say Firefly isn't an Andromeda ripoff.

Firefly's execution is WAY better though.

I just got done watching the series.

A couple of plot holes jumped up at me. The biggest was the 'dead' guy and how he had to carry organs because they couldn't be moved outside of a human host.

Yet apparently he was gonna have his own organs re-inserted at the destination.

right.

tracy wasn't always the brightest

I know he was smuggling them - so there were legal reasons for him carrying the organs inside of him rather than in cryo or artificial incubation.

Perhaps his own organs wouldn't need such measures.

Possible plot holes aside, what did you think of the series?

I didn't much like the episode either, btw.

If there's a vote for weakest episode then the one with the big silver whorehouse gets my vote.

Primarily because it was practically isolated from the rest of the series, but also because it was set-up like an A-Team episode without ever acknowledging that it was a homage.

yea the message, heart of gold, bushwacked, and safe, were my least fav

objects in space, war stories, ariel, out of gas, and trash were my favs.

the others were excellent also.

but even the weakest episodes are a pleasure to watch just from the sheer quality of the series.

if u get the chance, watch some of them with director's commentary.
