I have $400 on the way shortly ( Alberta prosperity cheque ).
However, i think I have it already spent, looking at one of 3 things:
1) eVGA 6800GS 256mb AGP $279.95 CDN
2) Acer AL1916W 19in Widescreen LCD, 8ms, Black $369.95 CDN
3) OCZ 2GB PC3200 Performance Series Dual Channel DDR Kit $219.95 CDN
the 6800gs would replace my tired ti4200, the lcd would replace my 19" viewsonic g90fb
I'm leaning towards the vid card

Friday/Saturday is the day we get the cheques, i'm pumped.
Decision final, 6800gs and possibly a game, thinking on bf2.

Got it :icon14:
Fuck the 6800gs is a kick ass card, even if it is only the agp version. Tried unlocking the extra quad pixel pipe and vertex shader, but they were damaged, broken pixels everywhere.
On a plus note, it o/c extremely well, 415 core, 1200 mem.

You should run your benchies before you fill the HD.
Better scores. :icon25:

It's pretty nice. Be sure to get the FakeFactory Cinematic mod with the skins and textures for HDR.

3623. I know I can score higher, b/c of my memory.
Running single-channel pc3000 ddr 512mb. Next week, i'm buying dual-channel pc3200 2gb. Then i'm give you my proper score.
edit: i'm guessing i'll be in the low 4000 range

Your video card will hold you back.

my mem is only running at 333mhz. Which has held me back in quite a few games.
All the reviews I've seen, show that with my set-up this card should be scoring between 4300-4600.

The memory will improve your score. But your bottleneck will be the video card.
Edit. What CPU?

Does your mobo BIOS offer you the option to set a primary video source?
