Quite honestly, I'm sick of seeing the previews (they've been hyped in just about every major movie since when, last March?).

Other than that, it does look quite good and I'll see it towards the end of its run. And yes, he is quite a talented filmmaker. Way more cerebreal than visceral, really folds you in with the storytelling.

I can appreciate his trying to show the perspective of the other side of the story. But the "foreign-commander-falls-in-love-with-native-girl-and-sympathizes-with-their-plight" bit is a little stale. The trailer made me think of Last Samurai, just in a different setting.

yer, it gets tiring. reminded me not of The Last Samurai, but Dances With Wolves. still, i enjoyed the trailer enough that i'll go see it most likely.
