My jaw hurts so much...

My right jaw joint constantly pops in and out. It's been like that for years and never really bothered me.
But lately it hurts when I pop it back in and my entire face feels cramped and I can only chew on the right side or my jaw will hurt like a motherfucker.
I guess I'll see a doctor about it.

your jaw may be slightly misaligned. Go get an orthodontic checkup - the earlier you surgically correct this problem the better, from what I understand. I have a friend who I think had same problem.

I saw a doctor about it before (it didn't hurt back then) and he said I should just get used to it.
Maybe he was wrong.

My teeth don't line up. Haven't suffered any real problems as a result, apart from looking like I have no jaw, which I'm trying to remedy by getting into the habit of putting by bottom teeth in front of my front teeth.
I did start treatment about 5 years ago when I was 15, but it was very unpleasant. I had to wear a plate permanently, which severely impaired talking and eating. Food would get stuck in there, and it made my teeth sore.
They told me I wasn't making enough progress.
After a few months I set off for a fortnight's holiday with the brace in. On the outbound train it broke and fell off.
When I went back to the orthodontists they told me that If I had made any improvement at all before then it was now completely reversed and I was back at square one.
Haven't been back since.
