They've done this with mice for years. On the NIH mouse genomics website:

i wouldn't call living purely for the benifit of science and to be tested on an existence.

We've got some transgenic mice that express GFP along with the RGS9 protein, so the neurons we're studying that have RGS9 can be easily identified in culture. Good stuff.

The thing I like most about it is that it doesn't require any antibody stains to see it. You just collect and go. :icon14:
