So do you believe in UFOs?

I posted a crappy photoshop picture yesterday:

And MagneticFred posted another:
Now these are obviously fake, and with the graphics technology we have nowadays, any and all of the following could be too.
Ilkley Moor, 1987. Alan Godfrey claims to have been abducted that morning and that he took the following photo immediately afterwards:

Here's a zoom:

[/img]
Now, regardless of the reality behind this incedent, the images scare me shitless. The setting is nasty, I've been up to ilkley moor before now and the place is nasty. Any moor is, but ilkley is downright chilling, being there alone would genuinely be the stuff of nightmares.
All the digging I've done cites that kodak labs took the original source photo for this, and confirmed there was no tampering of the film, no tricks used in the scene. Everything was as it appears there.
As an otherwise rational human being (at least on weekdays), I'm quick to dismiss this. And yet, I've witnessed things in my life first-hand that I can only put down to being downright supernatural, and it made me much more tolerant of images like this.
Image is fucking chilling :icon23:

More important question. Why does the end of his finger look like a penis head?

all the good ones are oldies. you can't believe any image anymore though. that last pic in foo's post is pretty cool.
of course i believe in UFO's, i've seen two that i could not identify, but i don't necessarily believe in "flying saucers" or aliens as we think they should be.

On topic, yeah I think there's someone/thing out there. I don't believe with all the stars/planets/galaxies out there that we could be the only ones inhabiting a rock.

There has to be/had to have been something to that. I mean, all those sightings even before it became poplular to see something?

The existance of UFO's are shrouded in mystery, but I do beleive in them.
Personally. I beleive you would have to be narrow minded to beleive that earth is the only inhabited planet in space.

Believing in ufos is a bit missplaced. I would say that I'm very curious and interested about UFOs because of all the mystery surrounding it, it always fascinated me. If there is a show or docu about UFOs or mysterious space shit, I will always watch it, but on the other hand it's not that I actually believe every single photo or video about a flying pancake.
But I do believe in alien life and as stated above it would be very unlikely that earth is the only planet with life on it. Or maybe it is a fact that we are alone, but we don't wanna accept it.

Well, space as we know it is limitless. It stretches for infinity. So even if there were other life forms on other planets, there's no telling how far away they may be. Furthermore, if there were other life forms, how would they know of our existence?

Haha we had a discussion like this during lunch at work yesterday and the new guy completely freaked out, babbling about inherent alien lowliness and human superiority. Maybe he's a scientologist or something.

Actually, I wasn't.
This site is interesting, more so because they're not claiming everything could be genuine, only some things. Near the bottom half of the page, they have one section where they think authenticity of alien pictures could be 100% genuine, and another section where they're convinced of fakes. Take a look at the pics they reckon are genuine. Here's one :

Maybe you should delete my post then
Anyway, i have no problem believing life is out there somewhere - but i have tremendous difficulties when people come up with pictures that show the classic humanoid grey skinned big eyed weirdos that walked straight out of an X files episode.

Absolutely. The best site to read is
http://www.disclosureproject.org - I highly recommend you listen to the interviews by Dr. Stephen Greer (the man behind the project). He is extremely intelligent, and he has eye-witness testimonies from hundreds of ex-military who all believe in the existance of extraterrestrials, UFO's, and so called "free-energy". Even if you don't believe him, i'm sure you'll find it an interesting listen.
