Forgot TV shows, Man that would have been a disaster. All my pw/login stuff is in my head. If I can't remember them when I got to login somewhere, the website is obviously not worth the effort.

There's a few though that I like to autologin, sometimes I forget passwords. The important ones though i got in my head. My webspace, bank, and shit like that are never autologin.

Get a drive just as large as your current one and mirror your files onto it. For my Mac I just copy my home directory to my second hard drive, and upon formatting I just copy it all back. Doing that restores all my settings and stuff exactly like it was. I'm figuring the same is possible with WinXP.

No, I think the registry would fuck with a lot of it. I think I tried that once and it ended in complete disaster.

This is why I put my data (My Documents, Send To, Desktop, Favorites, etc.) on a seperate partition. I think the only thing I have to backup is outlook.

I’m not a PC geek, so can you tell me if it is feasible to just drag your C Drive into a Zip file, then save it on a cd or dvd and download it back to your new drive?

thanks

Ummm. that's kinda the stupid way. Just do what I did and you won't worry about what you have to backup.
I open two windows. The 2nd window is where I want the files to be, eg D:\User Data
From the first window I locate My Documents, then hold right click and drag it to the second window. Release the button and select move here. Just do the same for the others.
You can also use Tweak UI to do this.

You can do the same with Outlook, just move the pst file(s) to the other drive where you'd like to keep them and on next startup of outlook it will ask you to locate them. Voila.
Yeah I forgot about that. When I do my re-install, I'll probably do that.
