No, its not because I don't have money, but because this technology is just around the corner and it will make the top gaming beasts look like Ti-83+ calculators.

Have fun waiting 5-8 years for this to make it to your local best buy.

You're very naive. Stuff like this is 'just around the corner' perpetually.

"Will your notebook or desktop PC someday sport quantum innards? It's unlikely, at least in the immediate future. Researchers believe quantum systems will be much more efficient at rock-solid cryptography and mass database searches than running the latest version of Doom."
I think you should forget you ever read that article. Besides there are a lot of other technologies for faster computing that you don't even know about which are a lot more likely to actually make it to the mainstream before quantum computing does.

AMD just released the FX60. Plus there going to release a new chip later this year. So if you're ready to spend $1200.00+ on a CPU, stick it out for the next gen.

Why don't you wait till your computer isn't performing as well as you would like, then just buy whatever is reasonably good at that time? That's how normal people do it.

Because he apparently wants a computer that can time travel.

I'm done with physics forever now. Same for chemistry.

I don't mean to sound sarcastic or flaming here...are you really so naive as to believe that its worth waiting for a quantum desktop?

I don't want to study science anymore and I sucked at the "Physics for Engineers" class that I took. It crushed my dreams.

Oh you mean
real physics? That other stuff they call physics is for the noobs.
