Is there an extension that double clicking on a tab will close the tab.
I know about right clicking and selecting close and also ctrl+w.

Also is there some way of setting up a group.
ie: a group name that will open several tabs at once.

You can click your middle mouse button (wheel button) to close a tab.

ctrl-f4 closes tabs as well, just like most windows apps

It's because of this that I can never go back to IE and be comfortable again.

I think I'll make the switch to firefox.
I was using Maxthon for along time, but it still basically uses IE. Plus I want my roommate to use firefox also. He just got this virus.
So I'm reinstalling his OS.
I'm also working on a laptop for a coworker.
The laptop has an overheating problem.
Tried blowing the dust out of the vents, but still to no avail.
Might have to take it apart. :icon13:

If you get the SessionSaver extension, it lets you save all the tabs in a window as a session that you can open any time.

I have a Daily Start session, so every morning I click that and it opens Q3W and a couple news sites that I check every day.

I'll probably get this extension also.

You will want to look into getting adblock, which blocks wildcards, entire sites, images, even annoying signatures and adframes.

also grab ie View for those links that still need to be viewed in internet explorer ;)

On a related note... can I save any more space on this layout than I am already? I can get my stuff down to one line now I've moved up to 1280 res... however I'm gonna have to put the status bar back becuase I need the functionality of mouseover link info... Is there any way to relocate that info elsewhere to save wasting space with the status bar?

adblock the quake3world logo, make your taskbar autohide or switch to a theme with a thin taskbar.

a plugin to display info from the taskbar in the titlebar might be do-able.

You can save some space by putting the addy bar on top.

Image

BTW, Tab Mix Plus is the only tab extension you will ever need.

How did you move the addy bar?
