Reminds me of that non-conductive water someone posted a thread about a while back. I proposed the idea of using it as cooling for a system (seeing as how in a video that was linked, a guy dipped a notebook and a cell phone in it and they still worked fine). Unfortunately the stuff evaporate 45x faster than regular water, so even a sealed case would need to be refilled.
edit: Dry water! That's what is was called. It was something some guy thought up to replace conventional sprinkler systems in office buildings so files and computers aren't destroyed when they come on.

It's funny how that case comes with a filter to keep out the dust, but they drill like 300 holes on each side to spell out their name.

The case....
and dude, I might try that oil, sure your air cooled pc is nice, but I know for a fact that with this kind of temperature management, I could crack my p4 up to 4.5+ ghz no problem

wonder if it would be better if you had a motorized "arm" stirring the vat of oil. + i would probably try synthetic motor-oil. I'd assume it would have better thermal qualities.

I'm assuming it dissipates some of the heat through evaporation of the oil once it heats up...right? I'm sure that's healthy to breathe.
Well, on the secon thought it's probably no worse than working in McDonalds.

good point... on that vein, wouldn't it be better to use a completely sealed metal case? that way the metal would sink the heat out of the oil into the air, and prevent evaporation.
A sealed case would at least stop your room from smelling like someone is always cooking french fries, and prevent the need to refil it periodically.
Ideally, you'd probably want an aquarium pump cycling the oil through a radiator. Like a water cooler with no block, and using the case as a resevoir... just puming the oil out of the case, through a rad and back into the case. hmm.... makes me wonder if they tried using radiator fluid.
