woot! Lol my backup raid of 10 gmail drives is growing! How fucking sweet is that!

(you can mount gmail drives using a windows program, forgot the name, I think its called GDrive)
(Every week I upload all my maps and homework and music to that collection of drives)
(The upload speed is fast, at least for me I can do 4megabytes/s up)

pop access, inline spell-checker, tagging, massive storage, easy filtering, simple interface.

Hotmail is a piece of shit compared to gmail. Google are getting so big 'cause MS has been caught napping.

From what I've heard, MS wants to try and ditch their hotmail service.

They probably meant that hotmail will become part of windows live service. Live mail is in beta right now and it's crammed with ajax features, it's pretty nice.

Does anyone see this hype with google and storage space as a marketing gig? :paranoid: How many people will actually have their inboxes full 100%? I bet the number is very small. In a sense they get publicity for giving away all this space, but in the end they don't have to really worry about a lot of people actually filling that space up.

Of course, they can't possibly hope to provide that storage for every customer right now. But that space is available if you really do want to use it. It's based on statistical predictions but as an individual you stand to gain from that statistical reasoning just like google does.
