I had a box of very expensive chocolate pretzels on top of my pc, it fit perfect and the dogs couldn't get to it, I was playing quake 4, it was running hot, and all the chocolate melted off the pretzels and its just a box of chocolate with pretzels sticking out :tear:

just be glad you didn't put it on top of a 360.

it's not the 360 thats warm, its the power brick, and that has a much smaller surface area, if you stretched that out to pc case size, it wouldn't be so hot.

With stock Xbox 360 cooling, after an hour of Quake 4, the back of the motherboard temperature was 150.8ºF ( 66ºC ).

I'd very much appreciate if you could post a picture of this.... for posterity.

That's not necessarily hot at all. If that's where any mosfets are located, that's pretty cool. Those things can run fine up to like 80-90ºC.

edit: Just finished reading the article and what I typed above probably isn't what's going on there. They dropped the back of the mobo temps by 50ºF. Cooling the CPU or GPU would reduce mosfet temps some, but not that much.
