Microsoft.com

This update improves the Media Center Extender experience. Media Center now recognizes when a Microsoft Xbox 360 is connected to the network. Additionally, Media Center now prompts you to install the software components that Media Center must have to support the Media Center Extender functionality of the Xbox 360.

• On U.S. versions of Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, this update provides support for a second Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) tuner card. Media Center now supports up to two ATSC tuner cards and two National Television Systems Committee (NTSC) tuner cards.

• Media Center now supports DVB-T radio where DVB-T radio is broadcast.

• Media Center now includes a configurable optimization option to make sure that your Media Center computer continues to run smoothly.

• Media Center now includes a nonlinear zoom mode for widescreen TVs.

• This update improves the process of burning DVDs in Media Center.

yea, i have..

i just finished rebuilding my media center. and i found out what the problem was.. my FX 5200 GFX card... jesus, all of that instability.. Grrrr anyway..

if you are going to install this, make sure you have everything installed and setup before you apply the patch.

other then that, its nice.. that "optimization option" is simply a time that you set for media center to close, and reopen..

:)

I thought it was a full reboot...

I keep Media Center closed and the computer at the desktop when not in use, I only open it when I am watching TV

Mother f*&(ker

My vidoe card is now causing a crash every boot. Cocksucking updates that's what I get for using a ATI Radeon 9600 before the Final approval list was out...

It's OK I just got a 9800 Pro,

What's wrong with .net 2.0 should I uninstall it?

both of them call for .net 1.1, and if only 2.0 is installed they both will prompt for you to install 1.1.. so i am not sure what the deal with it is..

You said you were using a 9600, did you have issues with DVD menu selection? whatever DVD I put in the grapic used on the DVD to show what menu option you had highlighted would never show up...
