Did anyone watch the Alamo bowl? I am completely fucking pissed off right now. Jesus H. Christ, those referees better not have a god damn job tomorrow.

christ, carr having to burn those timeouts for replay calls was ridiculous. and I'm a nebraska fan...

I think I heard them say the crew was from the sun belt conference or something? How the hell do they get to a big 10/big 12 showdown?

Yeah I know. It's like letting your third string start in the super bowl.

I just saw the last play. Did the refs blow the whole game or something?

There were some interesting calls and cases of a nebraska receiver trapping the ball for what looked like a TD at first glance (as much as I hoped, the reply proved wrong) and a questionable fumble/incomplete pass, both in the second half. Replays were only called after carr burned timeouts to try and force the issue.

Other weird calls, too - missed pass interference against nebraska, calling catching interference on a punt return (I guess the old 2 yard rule is gone now; they just have to catch the ball first?) against nebraska, then not calling an identical play later (though the rulebook and commentary indicated it shouldn't have been flagged in the first place)... just a mess all around.

Sucks, too, I think I'd rather have a tough fought loss than a win with an asterisk that fans will argue about for years :(

Yup. The first half didn't seem to be all that bad. The only thing I can think of that happen in the first half is when they didnt review that fumble to see who actually had the ball and instead ruled that nebraska was down. The second half is when the bad calls really started piling up.
