I got a Panasonic PT-60LC14, rear projection, 60". I'm very happy with it, and I'm glad I stayed away from the newer technologies for the time being. The DLP is what I would have gone with, fuck plasma for now. LCDs are too expensive, and DLPs have better picture imo. Just too much coin atm.hate wrote:expensive..

This is why you're such a loser nerd, poohard. The adults here are talking about spending real money on adult toys, and you're talking about a five year old video game.Duhard wrote:so much coins haaaaaaaa...won't buy you a frag you fucking idiot
i am looking for a really thin tv...due to limited hanging space...AmIdYfReAk wrote:with that you are going to be looking for rear projection, i would fork the little extra and look at DLP's if that is the route that you are going to be going.

now, rear projection makes me think of thos big ass boxed tv's that can't be viewed from anglesNightshade wrote:I got a Panasonic PT-60LC14, rear projection, 60". No my friend, not anymore. This set has almost a 180 degree horizontal viewing angle, and at least 120 degrees vertically. Also, it's only about 18" deep. Came with a nice stand, and it has passable sound.hate wrote:now, rear projection makes me think of thos big ass boxed tv's that can't be viewed from anglesNightshade wrote:I got a Panasonic PT-60LC14, rear projection, 60". yeah, leaning towards plasma atm..YourGrandpa wrote:If you're lacking space and want to stay under $3000.00, you're going to have to go with a Plasma TV. You should be able to get something around 50" with $3000.00.

I'm seeing some reviews that are calling it HD ready, it's not. It's an HD set. I bought it because out of all the TVs that were lined up in the store, this one had the best picture for the size/money. Keep in mind of course that the displays most likely won't be using component video cables, so it won't look as good as it can. Again, DLP has a nicer picture, but I haven't seen a better size to cost ratio with this model's picture quality.
