i hate flash sites. Theyre so unnecessary in my opinion. I'm sure there are cases where they are the most efficient option, but I've yet to come across one. They just waste my time with loading screens and animations when all I want is information or a movie trailer, and then you can't change the size of the text as with any other webpage -- and it's usually way to small to be easily read -- and it's all just a hastle without any redeeming [imo] payoff.

That said, the comic book scheme is cool in a gimmicky, 10-seconds-later-its-tiresome sort of way.

Not too bad at all. I normally don't like flash sites either.

Wow. There's way too much going on in that flash site. I really hate people that make crap like that. It's fine if it's just supposed to be some sort of individual artistic thing or some sort of "find the secrets" game-like site, but for a site that's supposed to serve an informative purpose, things like that are the absolute wrong way to go. Not only is it annoying, but it runs like crap. One of the worst things a semi-business site designer can do is assume that everyone has a high end computer. Most of my friends that I would classify under the "general public" in terms of the computer world have worse computers than mine, and this doesn't run well on mine.

I completely agree, I also hate entry pages. :icon33: Also you can't copy text off a flash based site.

i'm getting really pissed off with flash sites, pretty much every music or film site i come across now is flash.

Site has a nice idea though :).
