I didn't want one for the longest time because I think they are dirty, stinky, little fuckers. However, I've grown up with them so long that I miss having one. I could settle for a small, low maintanence, well trained cat or dog. But my wallet couldn't and that's why I only want one rather than having one.

Got one Rotty (he's a puppy and rips up anything he can reach), and one small black cat.
They don't get along very well yet.

Cats have got huge egos, and by that I mean fucking IMMENSE egos. That's what I love about them. It's the antithesis of the dog, which is by all accounts a shameless beast.

Sure, THEY don't smell but they will shit and piss all over the house when winter comes because you won't let them out to roam or make the snow go away, so they blame you.

don't get me wrong, it's not like i don't like animals, because i really do, just as long as they're not in my house.

Children growing up with dogs are less prone to allergies later in life.

I want a dog really bad but I'm renting.

I still haven't decided for sure whether I want a rotty, a lab, or a weimerreiner, but I'm leaning towards a rotty.

I had a couple of really good dogs growing up that I loved to death though, and I'd love to have another one of my own.
