Wonder why he had such a horrible starting position though.

Dunno man, just seemed like the other guys didn't know the course, as opposed to him being an outright better driver.

If it happened to be his home track and he was up against people who maybe ran round it ~20 times or less, that looks like the video to me.

Of course, I'm a TOXIXBUG DRIVING STRATEGY PRO so I know this for sure.

Maybe he was like, "I'll let all the special kids up front to make them feel special" ;o

From what I saw he had a faster line and at other sections he was simply aggressive in the corners with alot of late - if any - braking.

I drive like that in NFS...cause I know I won't get killed. I wouldn't drive like that IRL....I'd shit my pants as I crammed into the outside wall under massive understeer.

What a douche. Thats why power wheelies are bad.

I dunno, looked more like he was just braking really late and taking advantage of every gap in the field to get by. Once he isolated himself from the rest of the pack that was all good driving.

Which is why I tend to avoid them altogether, especially in first gear. Plus, my steering damper is a piece of shit.

A colleague of mine showed me the video a couple of days ago. He's a Lotus Elise driver himself, takes the car to track days and such as well (I should say took though, as some idiot nearly totalled his car in a car accident).

He told me it's a track in Australia and that the driver is a lot better than the other drivers. He outbreaks the other drivers in pretty much every corner and dives into spots barely 2/3rds the size of the car.

He just takes a lot of risks. I saw him shooting gaps that I would never attempt, and it looked like the other drivers let him on through to keep from wrecking.

Did anybody else notice him cut through the grass a little on one turn? :olo:

so was he penalized and sent to the back of the grid or did he flub qualifying?
