Hip-hop star 50 Cent announced he was dropping his prot�g� The Game from his G-Unit collective on air Monday night, only minutes before someone in his entourage was shot in a radio station lobby.

The "Candy Shop" rapper, 29, told listeners at a New York radio station he was parting ways with The Game, because he believes the rapper was "disloyal."

MTV.com reports 50 Cent said, "He's gone. He might as well make the record. He should stop saying G-Unit. He thinks he's doing me a favor when he says that."

Shortly after 50 Cent - real name Curtis Jackson - made his announcement, a 24-year-old member of his entourage was shot in the lobby of the Manhattan station.

50 Cent and his crew were quickly escorted from the radio station and escaped harm.

The unidentified Los Angeles man was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital where he remains in a stable condition Tuesday.

New York Police Department (NYPD) spokesman Sergeant Kevin Farrell said officers were investigating the incident and no arrests had been made.

In the interview at Hot 97, they are naming off groups, Yayo pipes in "..Terror Squad". 50 tells him to shutup because he is talking right now. Then Yayo is like "yea sorry..". Then I heard Banks got pistol whipped by 50 and didn't do shit a while back.

they were gonna drop game from aftermath untill 50 came and did all the hooks for him and shit. 50 saved his ass and repays him by going on a show and saying he aint got 50's back? that dont go dowm where im from.

Yeah it's not quite the same for someone like 50 tho cause they can't be implicated in any shit like that or risk losing everything. Sounds kinda hoaxy though doesn't it?

I really liked The Game too

That's fucked up though I'd throw him out too if someone said something like that behind my back.

I'd have my friend's back, until he randomly picked people to start shit with. Thats when I tell him he is on his on with that beef.
