MQ, Nightshade, physics people...

I'm thinking of getting this book:

Ever taken a class that used it NS, or is your physics background primarily engineering based?

Skimmed through the book at Borders, and it is crammed with some real interesting shit. A lot cheaper there too.

No, never used it. If you're looking for something for your students, Asimov's Understanding Physics isn't a bad place to start.

I remember reading his books in grade 3, especially the chemisry ones

Nah, not looking for books for students. That Gravitation book is beyond the capabilities of probably 99.9% of high school students (it looks more like an upper division in college/graduate level book).

i never used it either. seems like pretty honest user reviews there though, might not be the droid you're looking for.
