http://www.q4w.org/overview.html check it I ran around it and looked at the pic and it looks cool. It feel like cpma alittle.

no. I guess you don't know your quake history. Quakeworld came out when quake 1 came out. its been a mod for quake

it was more or less of a joke, I guess you just didn't pick it up in the heat of battle.

circle-jump, ramp-jump, slide-jump

what is this?

ive seen threads about crouch slides, and that you can make sharp turns with it but it goes straight forward for me. any tips?

Just turn mouse and press strafe left/right (whichever way you want to turn) but you have to let go of forward just as you hit strafe.

Ooo your in BC right? A nice low ping would be sweet compared to the 60 I get in Chicago... :dork:

The co-admin for my site will be downloading it soon and working on setting it up. It'll be running stock maps but I'll PM you when its live.

Awesome, by default due to better ping they may become my mod of choice as well then. :icon32:

I hopped on dm1 and was messing around with the movement, and from what I can tell it's pretty nice! I was able to use the air control to make some nice turns in and out of the maze part (the area where the lg would be on the 1v1 version), which was nice. The speed boost makes flying over the red armor gap from the NG to the RL a breeze. Can't wait to see some real qw4 maps come out! :icon32:

Can some one like pm me a step by step instruction on how to get this fucking mod to work. Ive been trying all day long to get on servers with it and been getting nothing but error messages.

that's because there's all of 2 servers hosting the mod, one in virginia and one in texas, and both are locked. Just wait for specific ip's to be posted and connect directly.

oh, btw, here's the steps

1) unzip the files and put the q4w folder in your folder titled "quake 4"
2) load regular quake 4.
3) click on mods
4) click q4w

that's it.

P.S. Does anyone have some q4w ips in NA? Torm would you pm me your server's ip? WOuld be much appreciated :icon25:

Im loving this!

theres a little too much air control, and the tp exit needs a little fixing, but other than that this is what quake 4 should have been out of the box.

...and the double jump need tweaking aswell...to mae it work better with ramp jumps and more height off boxes.


keep working on this mod, PLEASE!!! I need this mod to be completed!!

Thats the problem, I can't "unzip" a fucking .rar file.

You misunderstood me. I'm not having trouble finding servers with the mod, it's that fact that i thought i had the mod dl'ed properly and then when i go onto the servers that i know are using it it gave me some weird error messages, or would just crash and shut down completely.
