Slightly off topic: Does anyone know what codec that video uses? I just formatted and WMP is showing it in like 5 colors only (red, light blue, dark blue, green, orange). The shapes are still there, a little messed up but I can read the CNN and title on the bottom & stuff.

sounds to me like you need to update to the latest wmp. i remember having that psycodelic hippie color problem myself when i did a fresh install of xp a few months back and that's what fixed it.

yeah that's a pretty good story.
