Lcd TV's

if an lcd tv has a 26 inch screen. is that about the same as a 28 inch crt? both widescreen.
i have a phillips flat screen crt at the moment, but i have seen a 26 inch, again, phllips lcd tv, and cant figure out how big or small the difference will be?

Step One:
Take a tape measuring device and measure your CRT TV screen.
Step Two:
Go to Future Shop/Best Buy and measure the LCD TV screen.
Step Three:
Contemplate the results.
That is the way I would do it.

Yes, switch it on to a channel. Then measure the area with the picture from corner to corner.

usually, no the viewable area on a CRT based screen ( reguardless if its flat, or wide ) is allways atleast .8inches smaller then advertised.
wile LCD's are True.
if all go's well, i will have a 32" Samsung LCD on its way within this week.
