Downloading something took only 1 click.
Now's it's like 5 clicks and 3 websites to get a file nowadays.
Oh how the time's have changed.

Yeah, we have more bandwidth now and all we do is take the same amount of time to get a file but just through a different method.

Yeah was thinking about this earlier which washing the dishes.
I've remarked on having to sign up to EVERY FUCKING SITE I come across too. That's really irritating. Enter details. Open Hotmail. Open Junk Mail. Copy Confirmation URL. Paste and go. Sign in. Log out of Hotmail. Carry On.
It's a joke.

Firefox extension also available if you want it.
re-edit: and use
http://www.mailinator.com for 'disposable' email addresses. Just use
anythingyoulike@mailinator.com and enter the anythingyoulike on their main page; bingo, instant email.

Massive bandwidth has meant massive gauntlet of ads thrown at us and business schemes revolving around said downloads.

Wow, didn't know that's what mailinator was about - only heard of it, never looked into it. Thanks, I believe I will use this quite regularly. :icon14:

also, is anyone else aggravated by the times when clicking a link doesn't take you anywhere but just wastes your time recentering the browser's page to the link, making you have to click the link FUCKING TWICE?!?!?!?

Yer but fuck big business. I've been sharing most of my gaming files over edonkey since I don't know when. Some of it's really popular, like the Desert Combat installer. Some of the lesser known Quake 1 levels and such barely get a hit a month.
