The reason why MS only shipped a very limited amount of 360

I think they did it just to make the gamers want it even more, since you always want what you can't have. Come Christmas time, they will ship a HUGE amount of consoles to all the stores and everyone will buy them as gifts since people will be afraid they will be sold out again. Brilliant marketing strategy, they released it at a perfect time for everything to work flawlessly, too.

Aside from this being painfully obvious, the console seems pretty fucked in its current state which only adds more weight to the idea that they rushed it out too early to capitalise on being the first out there.
It might fuck them in the long run, or in an ideal world at least. But the modern consumer has a short memory, no loyalty, no long-term intelligence, and deep pockets.

Isn't the power supply the only problem people have had with it?

General issues with the release lineup as well. Many performance problems. Stuttering on video playback. GUI crashes.

I thought all the video and crashing problems were fixed once people got the power supplies off the floor?

Irrespective of this, the console's got obvious problems which even basic testing would/should uncover. Which brings us back to the point I made in my first post "which only adds more weight to the idea that they rushed it out too early to capitalise on being the first out there."
So either way, what's your point? Your assumption whether or not correct doesn't counter the point I made in my first post, it merely nitpicks around a small part of the issue.

what do you mean whats my point?
i replied to your second post wich follwed rooks post on power supplies.

Which appeared to be arguing that somehow it all being related to the power supply had some significant meaning in the conversation.
That's how discussions work, you realise?
I mean, I could have replied to your post with "power supplies run on AC power". What would be the function of that post?

fuck off foo. who's the nitpicking cunt.
tell us in your vast knowledge of hardware, what are the symptoms of a faulty psu?
i thought the point of discussion was to lay out all the facts?

Yes but there are obviously limits.
Just as 'grass is green' wouldn't have any significance to the discussion at hand, neither does the root cause of the xbox's problems. The fact that it has numerous highly visible problems is on the other hand relevant.
Seems like you think that because the root issue is the power supply, that somehow changes the argument that MS pushed out the console too early, and it's obvious it doesn't. Hence why post it.

Settle down spaz.
Your desire to somehow extract a victory by posting that it was all due to the power supply is what led us down this absurd path, remember? If anything, I'd prefer that a conversation didn't get clogged with the need to 'win' and that's why I responded to you in the first place.

i said it "could" be the power supply flaking the whole system out. did i say "it's the psu foo, i win haha"?

Too much coffee Foo?
The fact that the "Many performance problems" you talked about are probably only one single problem with several symptoms, is pretty relevant in any conversation about the XBox's problems, is it not?
I don't see anywhere shadd said anything denying that MS pushed the box out too early. Get a grip man, nobody is even challenging your contention here. :icon27:

Heh, way too much coffee.
I'm halfway into sorting out 2 university group assignments *on my own* because my group can't get their head around the simplicity that is MS Project PBS.
So yeah, I'm willing to go far too far into conversations I could and probably should end with 'lol'.
