guess your not on their own dsl2+ network thenPlan B wrote:Hmmm...I also have Dutch Wanadoo.
I supposedly went from 3,2 Mbps to 6,1 Mbps recently, and when connecting, settings indicate that I *did*.
Download rates and speedtests indicate that I'm on the same ~350K/s download speed, though :icon26:
Yah, USB Speedtouch thingamajig.MKJ wrote: guess your not on their own dsl2+ network then

or are you using a usb modem.. those things cant go any faster than 4 mbit
yep, that sounds like they increased your bandwidth without actually improving their contention ratioPlan B wrote:Hmmm...I also have Dutch Wanadoo.

Ah well, I'll cope...somehow.
Just wish they wouldn't get my hopes up with this, apparantly void, 'free upgrade' bullshit, though.

/n00b question
static. yes to all cept multiple IPs. 1 outgoing ip; the modem has a built in router and 2 ethernet ports, 1 wireless and 1 usb.mjrpes wrote:MKJ, is your DSL dynamic or static? If static, how many IPs do you get and does your provider allow you to set reverse DSN? Are you allowed to host servers? I can't say I get to the best speed, but my provider goes all out with options and support.
