Anyone see that game? Absolute domination by the Eagles until the last 4 minutes of the game. Final score: Cowboys 21 - Eagles 20

I'm a fan this season because that one guy just cant stop smiling, and my housemate is from pittsburgh...and the niners suck. :/

Resigning Ward was huge for the receiver core and last night he had an awesome game. The two years I spent at my last apartment I lived right below Randle El. The place went crazy everytime he had a great game.

I lost some money on that game, why the fuck did they try a 61 yard field goal? If I remember correctly, Elam did a 63 yarder at Mile High which is the longest ever.

They came a good 10 yards short on the field goal attempt...fake the field goal and launch it down it field...defenders will be caught off guard and see if you can get a pass interference call.

Sure, not likely, but it's a hell of a lot more likely than that fucking kicker making a 61 yard fg.

actually, until akers hurt his hammy he could boot 60 yarders all day long. the real problem was that he had to kick a line drive, which i think (from the way it looked) got tipped a little bit.

Greatest QB in the game. Too bad they're fucked this season due to injuries. Their dynasty is over.

I'd say, this year, manning is the greatest QB in the game right now. Brady doesn't have it this year, although for the past few I'd agree he's been dominant

i agree...manning is better than brady. its just that brady has had the support cast (especially a defense and off/def. coordinators) to win him a few championships.

Look at the overall numbers. Brady beats Manning, hands down. Yes, Manning had a good season last year, breaking Marino's record. He's on track to have a GREAT season, but Brady's got a better track record.

I'm far too lazy to look this shit up, so I'm just going off the top of my head, wasn't his career long like a 57 or something?

Past him prime, trying to expand his longest by 4 yards with the game on the line = not going to happen.

looking at the overall numbers Manning really is quite a step above Brady: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/s ... yerId=1428

if you mean track record in terms of championship rings and stuff, i think a large part of that has to deal with the Patriots having a better coaching staff and defense over the past few years.

edit: er...weird i can't seem to paste the link to brady's stats without closing/reopening FF. either way, they're on the ESPN site.

Look at his postseason record, wins to starts, number of championships, etc. The Patriots are a fantastic team, no doubt that contributes to Brady's success. I think that Brady is better under pressure, and can do more with less.

edit: Also, just found this:
Though Brady was honest about the game's outcome when he succinctly said "I don't have much to say. I mean we got our butts kicked," a simple look at the season's statistics will measure Manning, and find him wanting. In eight games Manning has passed for 1,872 yards. That ranks him twelfth in the NFL, directly behind Matt Hasselbeck , who has been without Darrell Jackson and Bobby Engram for much of the season, not to mention departed Koren Robinson . Brady, on the other hand, is tied for second with Carson Palmer for passing yards, each reaching 2,285 yards so far. That is a full 413 yards ahead of Manning, a clear and substantial advantage in favor of Brady.

Brady is very much like Aikman was. Wasn't a fantasy hero, he just won a lot and went to a lot of Superbowls ;)

well, yards counts for something but IMO i think qb rating is a better scale to go by, and in which case manning has a higher rating.

anyway, they're both in different teams with different qualities so its really hard to say for sure who's tops. i think manning is better, you think brady is better...really not much more to say on that i think.

Look at the ratings over the individual games this season, Manning just recently pulled ahead. Overall, Brady's ratings have been higher, and it took the Patriots being absolutely decimated by injuries for the Colts to finally be able to beat them.

if you look at the ratings over the past number of seasons, manning has been consistently ahead.

i think your second statement is more a testament to how strong the patriots defense is rather than how great tom brady is. that is to say that the colts losing in the past wasnt necessarily a result of brady being better than manning but that the patriots defense was pretty damn good. keep in mind that in the past few seasons the patriots defense has been near tops while the colts were way down there.
