Quick question for you guys. To update bios on a new motherboard [an Asus, needs bios update to recognise 64 bit processor] I need to have a boot disk of some sort to install DOS on the machine so I can do the bios thing right?

Then you would need to put the BIOS and it's installation utility on a bootable floppy and boot from that to flash the BIOS. XP can make a DOS-disk(its in the options for formatting a floppy) or you could get a bootdisk from here.

Burn CD with a windows 98 boot up disk as the boot sector with Floppy emulation, then have the bios update's on the Data portion of the Cd..
No floppy needed
Also, you can add said drivers and etc into window's Cd's easly... thus no floppy again..
