As long as you ignore the plot, the space sim bit is fun. But yeah, the character animations look like they were done by Kracus.

i got the demo to see what the flight physics/shooting stuff element was like and didn't think much of it.

the lad who asked me to try the demo has got the x3 beta. looks lovely but plays like more of the same. i want someone to bring out a decent multiplayer space shooter, sp just isn't where it's at.

i have x3 - i played it for 3 hours - realised that the cd protection broke q4 - then uninstalled it

I am waiting for the game that lets you fly around space, pirating trading etc and then you land on planets and can actually walk around them and do shit.

Like Star Wars Galaxies but single player and good.

been trying to play that freespace2 thing. it's a lot of fun but these open-source revival type projects would be a lot more popular if you didn't have to fuck around so much to get into them.
