For some add reason I can't seem to get my mouse to smoothly run like I would like it to. Its either too fast or to slow.
Is their any tweaks or setting that I can play with for smooth and sensitivity settings?

m_filter and sensitivity are about the limit.
There's no (to my knowledge) extra in_mouse values, and no mouse acceleration.
m_pitch and m_yaw might help you. Enter m_ and hit tab to get a full list, or check out this:

Thx foo.
can you play with these setting in the game since most of the cvar are mp locked and you can't change them in the game. I will give it a try.
this is what I have now:
seta m_strafeSmooth "4" //dunno what this is for
seta m_smooth "1" //dunno what this is for
seta m_strafeScale "6.25" //dunno what this is for
seta m_yaw "0.025" //horizontal, left and right sensitivity
seta m_pitch "0.025" //vertical, up and down sensitivity
seta sensitivity "2.5"

i believe m_strafesmooth is for when you use the mouse to strafe (or a joystick) via the strafe modifier button (ie. hold ctrl and the mouse then strafes instead of looks).

I play games with more than 8bit colors.

m_smooth sucks, don't use it. In most games it can cause a bit of game lag, and imput lag.

I thought CS was using the q1 engine, which means q1 is also using 8bit colors

cs has its own engine.

er - isnt it a halflife mod which and wasnt halflife written on the quake 1 engine? in fact i actually recall that when the hl2 source was leaked there were rye comments from id about it still containing q1 engine boiler plate code - lol - dont get me wrong a think source (cs, dod hl2 etc) rock - but its all still git q1 at its foundation
