Anyone who's finished this game...how many hours total did it take you to do the main storyline missions roughly, and what % of the game did you finish?

I forgot how much crap there is to do here..

yea xbox. main bug i see is that the sky flickers at night sometimes. and there has been about 2 times where textures failed to load properly for a second, so as i was driving the road looked like q3 on picmip 5 or something. but no glaring bugs that i've experienced. the part i do hate, though, is the drive by controls...white and black buttons will look left and right while you drive, then you have to hit the fire button as well, with the same hand you are pushing the white or black button with.

Still, it is a game worth owning, just due to the HUGE environment....I've never even made it to the 3rd city (the vegas one) yet....i think these games have all sorts of replay value. Something you can pull out after not playing it for 6 months and drop right back into enjoying it.

I still haven't done any of the basejumping either.

I can't wait for 10 years time when all this free roaming gameplay and mmorpgs and second life etc combine to form one gigantic virtual sim world, spanning the internet.

Logical conclusion I reckons... and it might be ace.

Yea, what I am wishing for is a game like GTA that has superbly rendered graphics. THat's the only thing I feel is lacking in those games....I understand that with a free roaming world of that magnitude, graphics are going to suffer a bit...but I wish textures and whatnot looked better.

And natural controlls as you mentioned further up. Quake 3 control, Battlefield 2 graphics and a little bigger areas than it has now. :icon28:

well, i've got about 19.5 hours of play, and I am 28% completed with the game.
Riddla, you really should pick this up if you haven't already.

It's a kickass game. Best dialogue and shit out of all of them. Can't wait to see what GTA game they come up with for xbox360 and ps3.

Certainly awesome. Worst part, IMO, was the flight missions -- the most prominant of the bottlenecks in the missions, you had to complete so many of these tests to progress and i sucked at it.

i drop the game, come back less than a month later and nail all the tests in one short sitting, and i'm back into the game full-on. extremely awesome game.

I just started replaying the game not too long ago. Def, my favorite of all the GTA games.

Once you get to the 3rd city, TNF, go play chicken on the highway with oncoming traffic. Fun times. :)

nothing annoys me more in that game than the traffic stopping suddenly when you are standing in one of the lanes, but 'realistically' swerving and slowing down when you are in a car in the way.

You can make some incredible pileups no? I remember getting some big slowdown when like 20 cars crashed together. :)

I remember when I said damn this game is wickedly awesome when I was doing a mission that you had to chase a guy on a motorcycle in the woods. I ended up ramming him off the huge cliff, then looked down as he broke his neck and the mission complete sound came on. Ahhhhhh. :)

lol did anyone notice any pedestrian bugs too? I think sometimes when people get out of cars they start to float. Many a times I was walking by and one of the fuckers landed on me! I was like wtf? Once even a car (no shit!) did too, took all my health down! :tear: But it was one of the best wtf moments in a game. :)

i did that in VC too now and again. cute.
i still havent got in to SA for some reason. dunno why. VC was great, with the businesses you could run et al. great times :icon14:
