I know this is a weird place to ask these questions but ive seen similar topics and know of some people here in the medical profession. So here we go.. I'll make the story short.

Since last sunday I've had really bad headaches. I couldn't walk far without stopping and resting and it got really painfull in lectures. The pain of the headache has kept me awake pretty much all night since monday night.

I finally got to the hospital to get it checked at, as was reccomended by my doctor back home.

The doctor talked to me and performed some tests etc. He said it could be a possible hemorrhage / blod clot near my brain. So i got a bit worried.

The good thing is I got my CAT scan done which (after a long wait) came back clear.

They have, however, put me on various different pills. Since i took them last night i've been throwing up consistantly this morning (6 times in the space of about 5 hours). I doubt it something i've eaten and I cant contact the doctor who treated me so im wondering if its the pills thats making me feel so.

The thing they have me taking other than paracetamol and ibuprofen is "Tramadol hydrocloride" 50mg capsules. Does anyone know of this stuff and any possible side effects?

Thanks

David

Agitation, anxiety, bloating and gas, constipation, convulsive movements, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, feeling of elation, hallucinations, headache, indigestion, itching, nausea, nervousness, sweating, tremor, vomiting, weakness

You need to inform your doctor of this.

Oh also, what you're on is physically addictive. Enjoy!

could be meningitis? thats what all the symptoms sound like. might want to ask your doctor about that just to make sure. i mean if he says its something else then he's probably right, doesnt hurt to ask though.

anyway i have no idea. regardless, hope you feel better.

Well thankfully the vomiting has stopped and I've begun to eat well now. Im just using ibuprofen for the time being, which is helping my headache a lot. I'll see if i can contact the doctor i saw / my doctor back home, but ive compeltly stopped taking that Tramadol Hydrochloride.

you'll probably be fine after a few doses, everyone's a lightweight to begin with.

Well i've decided not to take that stuff anymore, i feel much better leaving it alone and sticking to typical painkillers. Just hope nothing progresses.
