http://www.pandora.com

Apparently, you search for bands you like, and it plays lesser-known bands that sound similar.

Not bad. epitonic.com also has a feature where you select a genre, and it'll generate a shoutcast station just for you.

You can listen to it in Winamp/any other player that'll take shoutcast.

Oh yeah, after searching for 20 minutes on Pandora, starting out with Iron Maiden found these bands that are quite good:

Angra
Candelmass
Thunderstone
Coexist
Order of Nine

lmao

typed "The Offspring"
got "Change the world" by the offspring -- one of their best songs
next "Still Waiting for the Punchline" by Boy Sets Fire -- awesome song i already have
next "Voices Off Camera" by Rise Against -- awesome song i've never heard before

it just gets better. immediately, i'm thinking of buying this. seriously.

added "The Bravery" into my existing Offspring list, and it merged it, coming up with Blue Flannel - You Bore Me and Jettingham - Never, Never, Never. *glee*

although they don't have Spiderbait or The Camels in their DB. drat :\

Indeed, I've found two new bands straight away.

Thanks, I've been plaing this for hours now, only found a few new bands. I think I amy actually give the 3 month membership a try, just to see if it's going to be a FAD for me.

10 hour bug fux ;)

I was trying to remember the address for this website earlier, and all I could come up with to help myself was 'some chick's box'.

Nice. It's introduced me to or reminded me of about 10gb so far.
