they're just blank, I don't get a "missing plugin" popup, they just don't load, why?
they load fine in IE.

I've been noticing the same thing. I think there's a new flash plugin that I need to grab.

you star,
ctrl shift b is my hotkey to advance song, I assume it's also a hotkey to make adblock block flash?
edit: oh, it just disables adblock.. i don't want to disable it.
why is it blocking every single .swf?

this happened to me recently. do you have flashblock loaded? and have you tried the auto update in it? because this apparently b0rks flash on the current FF build.
also i found installing shockwave helps too. not all those flash things are actually flash - some are shockwave. different plugin
suggestion: get the chromedit profile editor (extension), and use it to delete everything in usercontent.css to do with flashblock. then restart FF twice to make it take effect, then try the flash sites again

it only borks them if one your blocking terms is in the .swf pathname
