if you've got a weak telescope or even decent binoculars, you might want to check it out tonight..

I always hear stuff like this, best time to see this and that and it's practically every week you get to see something that you won't see for a while.

yea, because things orbital paths will bring them closer to earth at given times, and there is a lot of shit in the sky, so on during any given period it will be the best time to see something or another.

We'll have a better look at it when the terrorists use their gravity gun to bring mars on a collision coarse with the earth. At least that's what geoff tells me.

i thought mars was going to be the closest on halloween?
its been kinda cool the last 2 months, on my commute i've been noticing mars getting bigger and brighter every day.
would be cool to have a telescope i could hook to my digital camera... since my parents live out in the boonies on a hill, it always provides a good view of all these stellar happenings.

I keep putting off getting a good telescope, now I'm really sorry I have. Looks like I'll miss this opportunity. :icon8:

I don't mind paying for one if I'll ever get off my ass and do it. I think it would be a worthwhile investment for me as a hobby.

Took a look at it with the scope...not bad. the pleiades were good too.
There was a giant dust storm visible too (not with my scope) but it showed up literally overnight right at the time when mars was in peak viewing condition.
