It's a fine server browser, been using it for EF a long time too! I hoped something like this would be made for Q4.

It really is unbelievable how a big corporation can kill off a very good piece of a software in such a short amount of time. I recently checked the ASE forums and people who start ranting there about the lack of support are immediately banned. Shows how willing they are to listen to complaints.

I think it's brilliant, better than kquery and more like the ASE interface. I like the players screen where you can easily see, alphabetically, who's playing. Mine returns 710/711 servers, not 1000 for some reason. When I see a server ping, say, 40 or whatever, as soon as I highlight that server, the ping number changes into 3 digits. Doesn't affect me connecting and the ping isn't actually 3 digits so I don't know why it does that. But anyway, it's a cool little app.

I've uploaded the new one and it should ask you if you want to download it automatically.

As for the server numbers, I'm not entirely sure. It could be a firewall issue blocking some of the ports, you could try changing them in options, or decreasing the query speed.

It will never query more than 1000 at any time since the id Master Server only sends back 1000 for some reason :/ (Most likely less as some will time out)

please dafault sort by ping ..lowest pings at top
ping results are pretty inconsistent .. i'd rather have ping accuracy then server query speed.

i tried all speeds 56k to 256k ..same same

i'll use this all the time once stable

i noticed theres 2 differetn versions
Quake 4 Echelon Setup.exe
Elite Force Echelon Setup.exe
whats the differance ?

One is for the game Elite Force. The other is for Quake 4.

Update this morning, downloading now. Now that's service!

I've been using it for a couple of days now. It's a little unpolished, but if I can get Q3 servers listed in it as well, I'll be replacing ASE with it.

Yeah, this program is a Godsend compared to the ingame server list...man the ingame is terrible. A fine program...damn fine.
