but:
Remember, a 10 does not (repeat *NOT*) mean it's perfect!
But if you can't find love for this in your heart, it must be made of stone.
This game does indeed look
very impressive.

Oh come on now o'dium. This game looks bloody impressive both visually and in terms of gameplay. It oozes quality. Slagging it because it's on PS2 is kind of sad.

So does this game have no chance of being ported to PC? I can't justify buying a PS2 for one game, even if it is the best game to come out for the console/PC in the last decade.

True. One game doesn't warrant an entire console.
I have no idea if there's any plans of porting it. I'm afraid it's not gonna happen though.

ICO was never ported, there's little chance this will be.
there are numerous other reasons you might choose to buy a PS2 though, such as Burnout. I guess now San Andreas is out on PC that's one selling point less though.

I have a very low threshhold for gaming at the moment. I play so little these days. What intrigues me about Colossus is its exploratory nature and that it's less your typical game and more a piece of art. Maybe I can mooch off of a friend.

WTF?! Eraser posting about a PS2 game? Has Hell frozen over?
I will probably pick up SOTC along with RE4 sometime next week

ICO wouldn't be ported, because it never sold well in the first place (it was voted by IGN as the best game no one played in 2001). If SOTC turns out to be a hit, they might think about porting it. But then again, SCEA publishes SOTC in the States (SCEA in fact did the localization work for SOTC), so perhaps Sony has some stakes in the developers now, which would prevent the game from being ported...

really sad how some amazing games just fail to sell. The most excellent Eternal Darkness suffered a same fate.

That's just plain dumb - the attitude that a specific game is a joke because of the console it is available on.
There are atari 7800 games that are still great games in terms of gameplay and fun.

That game was awesome, but I only got about 1/2 through it before I sold my gamecube...

Haha... I did the same thing. When I say I wouldn't buy a console for one game, I meant every game except Zelda

zelda is the only reason im hanging onto my cube.
*note* that the gamecube is now the only home console i own.
and SOTC is the only reason i regret selling my PS2 early last year.
