When I stand on my lawn lately, I have to keep reminding myself that there is someone out there who has the right of warfare to blow it up. Some guy from a band in the middle of Baghdad who had his lawn blown up, children killed, house destroyed, who was no guiltier than I am and who now has the right afforded by material warfare to protect himself by doing the same thing to me. But we are so used to the idea of "going to war." Wars don't happen here anymore. We make them elsewhere. We have to physically send people to them. Without a plane, in America, you are not IN this war. Other people are, however. And they get to die.
